Optonia hosts ninth career day in Diez with over 200 participants and 25 exhibitors

The Optonia vocational school for optometry and ophthalmic optics held its ninth career day on September 16, 2026, in Diez. More than 200 attendees, including students, alumni, and company representatives, engaged with approximately 25 exhibiting firms to discuss professional perspectives and entry opportunities in the optical industry. Four former graduates delivered keynote presentations detailing diverse career paths ranging from self-employment and leadership roles to specialized technical positions and early business ownership. Twelve workshops provided practical insights into current industry topics. Additionally, informal "Nice-to-meet-you" sessions allowed students to establish initial contacts with potential employers. Holger Werner, Managing Director of Optonia, emphasized the importance of personal exchange and strong networks for professional success.
