Shopify Admin Adds App Security Review Features

Shopify has updated its admin interface to provide enhanced visibility into connected apps. Users can now access the apps index via Settings > Apps, which displays each app's latest activity and highlights potential security issues. The individual app details page consolidates access, permissions, and activity information, with specific labels identifying permissions that may involve sensitive data. Additionally, merchants can review whether apps have adopted required security measures, such as expiring access tokens to limit stolen credential usage and enforced IP restrictions to confine API requests to approved addresses.
