Silhouette Group and AOA Foundation Announce $3,500 Scholarships for Second-Year Optometry Students

Silhouette Group has partnered with the AOA Foundation to offer a total of $3,500 in scholarships to second-year optometry students (class of 2029). The program awards $2,500 to the top essay on sustainability in eyecare and $1,000 to the second-highest rated submission. Applicants must be members in good standing of both the AOA and the American Optometric Student Association and submit essays under 1,500 words by November 2, 2026. This initiative aligns with Silhouette’s stated sustainability efforts, including CO2-neutral production and waste reduction. The Linz-based manufacturer, which exports 95 percent of its production, recently appointed Christian Bachler as CEO.
