Cellid, an AR display developer, has announced a business partnership with Japanese eyewear retailer Megane Top to develop and sell AR glasses under the Megane Top brand. The collaboration spans product development through market expansion, with Cellid leading optical and hardware engineering while Megane Top contributes eyeglass expertise and its nationwide store network, including the Megane Ichiba chain. The jointly developed 'Linse Display' AR glasses feature navigation, notifications, translation, AI notes, and entertainment functions. Preorders via crowdfunding on GREEN FUNDING begin October 23, 2026, followed by in-store sales after the campaign ends. Current images show prototypes, indicating final designs may differ.
