Etnia Barcelona Announces Limited-Edition Eyewear Collaboration with Artist Felipe Pantone

Spanish eyewear brand Etnia Barcelona has announced a collaboration with Argentine-Spanish artist Felipe Pantone, scheduled for release in October. The partnership introduces the "Etnia Barcelona X Felipe Pantone Ltd Edition," a numbered run of 1,000 sunglasses pieces. The design features an interchangeable temple system offering two distinct options developed by both teams. One variant utilizes chromatic gradients created through complex lamination of multi-coloured acetates to reflect Pantone’s digital aesthetic. The second option incorporates an optical motif inspired by his signature moiré effect, generating visual depth and movement depending on the viewing angle. This launch extends Pantone’s work from murals and sculptures into the eyewear sector, aligning with Etnia Barcelona’s focus on creative experimentation.
