Fin Ronan Poll wins 2025 German Young Optician Championship in Karlsruhe

Fin Ronan Poll from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern was named Germany's best young optician at the national championship final held on November 15 in Karlsruhe. The 23-year-old, trained at Fielmann Greifswald, outperformed eleven other finalists selected via state-level journeyman exams and won a Carl Zeiss Vision special prize for progressive lenses. Ruth Rebecca Maas from Lower Saxony secured second place, while Fabienne Latz from Saarland took third. Noah-Constantin Jung from Rhineland-Palatinate received the "Good Form" award for designing the best rimless glasses. Samantha Samira Becker from Bremen won a low-vision seminar voucher for her consultation performance with a macular degeneration patient.
