Sesame Announces Japan-Made Smart Glasses for 2027
Oculus創業者のAI企業Sesameが、日本製スマートグラスを2027年に投入へ
AI startup Sesame, led by former Oculus co-founder Brendan Iribe, announced on October 5 that its in-development smart glasses will be manufactured in Japan with availability targeted for 2027. The company previously raised $250 million in a Series B round in October 2025 without specifying a launch date. Sesame cites Japanese eyewear craftsmanship and material expertise as key factors for prioritizing style and fit. While the hardware remains unreleased, Sesame’s conversational AI agent is currently available on iOS and Android. Separately, the firm launched a commission series featuring photographer Osamu Yokonami’s "Assembly" collection to support product development efforts.
