HOYA Vision Care Announces Global Roll-out of MiYOSMART Coating STX

On October 6, 2025, HOYA Vision Care announced the global roll-out of MiYOSMART Coating Smooth Touch Xtreme (STX), available for use on MiYOSMART spectacle lenses starting September 2025. The advanced hydrophobic technology improves water repellence up to five times over the previous generation and maintains smudge resistance after 2.7 years of typical use or 8,000 wipes. This launch complements the “Open Their World” awareness campaign targeting Eye Care Professionals. However, MiYOSMART lenses are not approved for myopia management or currently available for sale in all countries, including the U.S.
