Optik Matt acquires Vision System Store group effective October 1, 2026

Optik Matt GmbH announced the acquisition of the Vision System Store (VSS) group, effective October 1, 2026. The deal involves 16 VSS locations, primarily situated in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, aiming to strengthen Optik Matt’s presence in southern Germany. Existing VSS stores will continue operating as independent entities with their current teams retained. Maximilian Matt, who joined the executive board in 2024, will assume management of VSS from founder Christoph Reinhard on the acquisition date. Reinhard stated that the transition ensures long-term perspectives for employees and locations while preserving VSS values. Both parties emphasized shared commitments to high-quality consultation and product standards. This move supports Optik Matt’s long-term growth strategy as a third-generation family business with over 75 branches.
