IOT has launched Neochromes One, a photochromic lens technology developed over several years to address the trade-off between outdoor darkening and indoor clarity. The lens aims to provide stronger darkening at approximately 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) while maintaining low residual tint and fast fade-back performance indoors, unlike standard lenses that may underperform in heat or extra-active versions that retain too much color inside. IOT also updated the color palette, making gray more neutral and adjusting brown to reduce reddish casts for a more natural appearance. The product targets wearers seeking a single pair of glasses for both everyday use and sunglass alternatives, prioritizing real-world usability across varying temperatures and lighting conditions.
