Stephan Schenk to Lead SPECTARIS Consumer Optics Division Starting July 2026

The German industrial association SPECTARIS announced that Stephan Schenk will assume leadership of its Consumer Optics division on July 15, 2026. He succeeds Peter Frankenstein, who is departing after 28 years with the organization at his own request. Schenk brings decades of experience in optics, marketing, and market analysis, having recently advised startup hellomateo and held executive roles at Euronet Software GmbH and EVEX Group. Mirjam Rösch, Chair of the Consumer Optics division, highlighted Schenk’s industry connections and strategic expertise. Frankenstein, who served as press spokesperson and later led the division for over 25 years, also held positions at Kuratorium Gutes Sehen and EUROM 1. His tenure was marked by significant contributions to the SPECTARIS Trend Forum and deep engagement with the optical sector.
