Optica 2000 to Distribute New Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) Smart Glasses Starting October

Optica 2000, part of the EssilorLuxottica group, announced it will add the new Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) smart glasses to its catalog starting in October. The Gen 3 collection features updated designs including Wayfarer, Aviator, and Zena frames, with the Aviator model joining the Ray-Ban Meta line for the first time. Key hardware upgrades include a 3K Ultra HD camera, a six-microphone system, a customizable action button, flexible temples, and up to nine hours of battery life. The glasses integrate Meta AI for hands-free image capture, real-time translation, and local recommendations without requiring a phone connection. Lens options range from clear and solar varieties, such as Transitions® and Polarized, to unrestricted prescription capabilities. Additionally, Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Scriber Optics (Gen 2) frames have been expanded with new color options.
