Seneca Polytechnic and CooperVision Canada Open Contact Lens Centre of Excellence

Seneca Polytechnic and CooperVision Canada have opened the CooperVision Contact Lens Centre of Excellence at Seneca’s Newnham Campus. This state-of-the-art training facility is designed to expand hands-on learning for Opticianry students by providing modern instrumentation for contact lens fitting, assessment, dispensing, and patient education. Beyond supporting the academic program, the Centre will host educational events, demonstrations, and collaborative programming to connect students, eye care professionals, and CooperVision teams with emerging technologies. Seneca President David Agnew noted that the partnership ensures students learn using tools identical to those in professional practice, while CooperVision Canada Country Manager Enrique Contreras emphasized the company’s commitment to investing in future professionals and advancing vision care across Canada.
