Umfrage von Eschenbach zu Lichtempfindlichkeit bei Migräne
Eschenbach Optik released results from a non-representative online survey conducted in summer 2026 among 931 adults, including 893 with diagnosed or suspected migraines. The data indicates that 23.6% of respondents would most likely seek advice on light sensitivity from opticians, ranking second behind neurologists at 35.4%. Currently, 57.7% regularly or occasionally use optical solutions for this condition. Key user requirements include glare reduction (43.1%), indoor usability (41.8%), and compatibility with existing glasses (40.8%). Significant barriers to adoption are identified as a lack of knowledge about suitable solutions (18%), costs (15.5%), and insufficient professional counseling (14.9%). In connection with these findings, Eschenbach highlighted its Acunis filter lenses designed for pronounced light sensitivity.
