This places gross revenue 2 index points below September 2025 levels, though it remains above prior years from 2019 through 2024. Most other optical sales categories also declined month-over-month: exams/refractions fell 8 points, frame units 6, lens pairs 7, and contact lenses 11. Year-over-year comparisons show decreases across all categories, with contact lenses dropping 9 points.
