Contact Lens Institute Releases Report on U.S. Contact Lens Profitability
Contact Lens Institute Releases – Profitability Perspectives: Rethinking the Value of Contact Lenses
The Contact Lens Institute released "Profitability Perspectives: Rethinking the Value of Contact Lenses," a report analyzing U.S. practice profitability. Based on data from 20 optometry offices collected between November 2025 and May 2026, the study indicates contact lens patients generate 29% to 86% higher annual profits than eyeglasses-only patients. Researchers attribute this upside to patient satisfaction and clinical success with contemporary products. The report includes implementation tools and reviews prior CLI research on patient value. CLI plans to amplify these findings at the American Academy of Optometry Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California, held September 30 to October 3, 2026.
