BARQA debuts Raw Strata SS27 eyewear collection with three sculptural designs

Independent eyewear brand BARQA announced its debut collection, Raw Strata SS27, featuring three distinct frame designs. The collection explores the intersection of sculptural design, advanced materials, and natural stone, drawing inspiration from high jewellery and architecture. Frames are produced using an advanced polyamide typically used in aerospace applications, combined with natural stone detailing such as malachite and obsidian. The lineup includes Nr.5, which established the brand’s identity; Tommy Bold, a circular silhouette with geometric contours; and Top Cat, an angular, unisex design. Each piece undergoes a meticulous development process involving hand-drawn concepts and 3D modelling to balance visual impact with ergonomics.
