OptoTech Marks 40th Anniversary with Global Customer Event

OptoTech Optikmaschinen GmbH celebrated its 40th anniversary, marking four decades since founder Roland Mandler established the company in Wettenberg, Germany, in 1985. The precision optics and ophthalmics machinery provider, now employing approximately 600 people globally, hosted an international customer day featuring new technologies and industry trends. Since joining the Schunk Group in 2018, OptoTech has expanded from CNC grinding solutions to include ultra-precision machining centers like the UPG 2000 and complete ophthalmic manufacturing systems. Managing Directors Jens Schäfer and Dr. Stefan Seifried emphasized partnership-based collaboration and continued innovation in automation and AI-based software as key drivers for future growth in optical manufacturing processes.
