Morel Launches "Örigin" Eyewear Collection Combining Wood and Titanium

French eyewear manufacturer Morel has introduced its new "Örigin" collection, which combines wood with titanium. The frames utilize various wood types, including rosewood and oak, and incorporate design elements from previous Morel models. Construction details vary by model; some feature metal lines running from the hinge through the temples, while others include transparent acrylic inlays within the wood. The ergonomically shaped temples are designed for high wearing comfort, and the wood is treated to protect against external influences and enhance daily durability. Technically, the collection features Morel’s signature screw- and solder-free hinges, intended to provide flexibility and a comfortable fit. This launch expands Morel’s range of eyewear with wooden elements and follows the introduction of the "Enigma" color palette, marking a shift toward a more restrained design approach using natural materials.
