Alan to Launch Closed Optical Network Effective January 2027

French health insurer Alan will open applications for its closed optical network from October 27 to November 30, 2026. The network is scheduled to become effective on January 1, 2027. Members with differentiated coverage will receive enhanced reimbursements at participating opticians, who can be identified via the Alan app. The network includes a tariff grid for major optical indications aimed at controlling spending on basket B while allowing reasonable access to innovations. Optician selection criteria involve certifications, store equipment, and staff qualifications, though opticians retain broad choice of lens manufacturers. Applications are processed entirely online, starting with Finess number entry and ending with document submission, where certain optional documents provide scoring bonuses.
