VANNI and FONDA Announce Collaborative Sunglasses Collection Featuring Retinal Index® Lenses

Eyewear manufacturers VANNI and FONDA, the first two Società Benefit entities in the industry, have announced a collaborative sunglasses collection. The line comprises six unisex models made from acetate and metal, available in three color variations and three lens types featuring FONDA’s Retinal Index®. This metric, developed by FONDA’s R&D team based on Italian National Council for Research studies, measures lens effectiveness in reducing retina damage risk from UV, UVB, and blue light exposure. Specific models include GIADA and EMERALDA with 90% Retinal Index® ratings, and AMBRA with a 99% rating. The announcement highlights a shared commitment to visual wellbeing and health-focused design without compromising aesthetics.
