AOV NRW Announces 45th Annual Conference in Dortmund for November 15, 2026

The Augenoptiker- und Optometristenverband NRW (AOV NRW) has announced its 45th annual conference, titled "Blick.", scheduled for November 15, 2026, at the Westfalenhallen Congress Center in Dortmund. The event features lectures on artificial intelligence, optometry, market development, and new roles for opticians. Speakers include NRW Science Minister Ina Brandes, former decathlete Frank Busemann, and Mirjam Rösch of Spectaris Consumer Optics. Topics cover the integration of optometric services via AI, updated driving license regulations allowing registered vision test centers to conduct tests for professional drivers, and digital marketing strategies. An industry exhibition will accompany the conference. Participation is free for members of North Rhine-Westphalian optician guilds and the Optician Compensation Fund (AKA).
