Bronwyn Brophy O’Connor to Become Carl Zeiss Meditec CEO on December 1, 2026

Carl Zeiss Meditec AG announced that Bronwyn Brophy O’Connor will assume the role of CEO effective December 1, 2026. Currently serving as CEO of Vitrolife Group in Sweden, O’Connor succeeds Andreas Pecher, who has held the interim position since January 1, 2026. The appointment, initially revealed in May 2026, also places her on the executive board of Carl Zeiss AG with responsibility for the medical technology segment. As of the start date, the management board of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG will consist of O’Connor and Chief Financial Officer Justus Wehmer. Supervisory board chairman Peter Kameritsch highlighted her international medtech experience and customer-focused approach.
