Ringdahls Optik Marks 80th Anniversary in Stockholm

Ringdahls Optik, located on Kungsholmen in Stockholm, is celebrating its 80th anniversary. Founded in 1946 by optician Sven Ringdahl, the store has operated continuously at this location. Current owners Mia Alvan and Petra Lind are honoring the milestone, which spans eight decades of business history. The shop retains original elements, including a well-known neon sign featuring the brand name, red eyeglass frames, and parts of the built-in interior design, all of which received extra care ahead of the jubilee. The business maintains a focus on optical craftsmanship and eyewear fashion. In 2021, Ringdahls Optik was named Store of the Year in a competition involving approximately one hundred independent Swedish optical shops.
