EssilorLuxottica Announces Launch of Nuance Audio Plus Hearing Glasses in Australia and New Zealand

EssilorLuxottica has announced the launch of Nuance Audio Plus, the next generation of its open-ear hearing glasses designed for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss. Available in Australia and New Zealand through selected optical and audiology retailers, the product integrates vision correction with hearing support. The company states the new range offers enhanced audio performance, longer battery life (approximately 10 hours), and an expanded collection of three frame styles and five colors compared to the first-generation Nuance Audio Glasses. Key features include directional amplification via beamforming technology, on-frame controls, and compatibility with a dedicated app for managing audio modes and presets. Larissa Brander, senior business development director, noted that the initial line expanded into more than 200 stores within a year, aiming to address the estimated 90% of the affected population in the region who have not adopted hearing solutions.
