KOBERG Introduces 'Sun of Koberg' Sunglasses Collection with Milled Titanium Frames
Industrial Poetry // Sun Of KOBERG
Westphalian eyewear brand KOBERG has announced the "Sun of Koberg" collection, marking a deliberate shift toward more expressive design. The new sunglasses feature fronts crafted from solid block titanium, precisely milled to create sculptural depth and subtle references to 1980s steampunk aesthetics. Despite this boldness, the collection retains KOBERG’s signature restraint through slim temples, refined acetate tips, and characteristic colored hinge accents. Italian Divel lenses are used to filter and choreograph light. The lineup includes specific models such as the compact »6071.1901«, masculine »6072.1901«, double-bridge »6069.1036«, panto »6070.1037«, and unisex aviator »6073.1039«. Frank Tente, representing the brand, explains that the move aims to balance technical precision with greater visual presence, leveraging production partners’ expertise in working with hard titanium materials while maintaining the brand's core identity.
