Optic 2000 Launches Audio-Only Smart Glasses in French Retail Network

Optic 2000 has announced the release of its first 100% audio smart glasses, available from October 26 across its network and website. Priced at €99 for a second pair and €149 for a first pair, the frames feature discreet HD directional audio, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and two-button controls on the temples. The devices offer five hours of continuous listening with a 90-minute recharge time and weigh 30 grams. Two styles are available: a transparent optical frame compatible with prescription lenses and a tortoiseshell sunglasses version with category 3 lenses. The company cites a February 2026 Toluna Harris Interactive study indicating that 83% of potential buyers prioritize fluid call and music management, while cost remains the main barrier for half of interested consumers.
