TPI commercializes proprietary eyewear design software

Tech Print Industries (TPI) has transitioned its proprietary CAD software from an internal tool used for 3D printing frames into a standalone product. The company, which previously demonstrated the capability to produce custom frames using modified HP printers and this software at the 2024 Mido trade show in Milan, now offers the design platform independently. Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Marc Notenboom originally detailed the technology's ability to generate frames of any shape during the 2024 event. This move marks a shift from providing integrated manufacturing services to selling the underlying design software directly to users.
