French optical retail wage agreement extended to entire sector

An official decree dated October 12, 2026, extending the July 9, 2026 salary agreement for the French optical and eyewear retail branch (IDCC 1431) was published in the Journal Officiel on October 15, 2026. The agreement will apply to all companies within the sector starting November 1, 2026. It mandates an increase in minimum wages across all career paths for employees and healthcare professionals, replacing the previous salary grid established by the September 14, 2023 agreement. The deal was signed by employer organizations Rassemblement des Opticiens de France (Rof) and Fédération nationale des opticiens de France (Fnof), alongside unions CFDT, CFE-CGC, CFTC-CSFV, and UNSA.
