Synsam hosts first clinical conference in Östersund

Synsam held its inaugural clinical conference at Frösön Park Hotell near Östersund, Sweden, attended by nearly 300 opticians over two days. The event featured lectures on filter glass development by Tony Pansell, contact lenses, smart glasses, dry eyes, and healthcare technology, alongside case studies on referrals. Participants earned nine CET points. Synsam’s clinical head Håkan Broman stated the initiative aimed to provide more operationally relevant training than the industry-wide Optometridagarna, which Synsam largely skipped this year. The program included supplier mingling and a dinner inside Synsam’s production center in Storlien, showcasing local frame manufacturing.
