Mister Spex Starts 2024 Apprenticeship Year with 41 New Trainees Across Five German Locations

On August 1, 2024, Mister Spex began its new apprenticeship year by welcoming 41 new trainees. The intake includes 38 apprentices in optometry and three in commercial fields such as dialogue marketing, office management, and e-commerce. These individuals are starting their training at five locations where the company operates workshops: Berlin, Cologne, Münster, Reutlingen, and Mannheim. Since 2016, a total of 205 apprentices have joined Mister Spex, comprising 174 in optical roles and 31 in commercial positions. The program aims to address skilled labor shortages and position the retailer as an expert in ophthalmic optics. Apprentices spend 14 weeks per year in training workshops to focus on practical skills, separate from store sales duties.
