ZEISS Announces Eye Care Expansion Plans at IAPB Summit
ZEISS to expand eye care programs and extend care to cataract patients
At the first Global Summit for Eye Health in Antigua and Barbuda on November 2, 2026, ZEISS Vision Care announced commitments to expand access to eye care. The company plans to scale its Indian Aloka Vision model to at least two additional countries by 2028, focusing on post-cataract care. Additionally, ZEISS intends to develop country enablement programs with partners and governments to drive visual health awareness, expand education, and donate certified equipment, glasses, and intraocular lenses. Each commitment aims to reach an additional one million people per year. These initiatives build on ZEISS’s existing engagement, including support for eye care centers since 2005 and phacoemulsification training since 2018.
