Grupo Prats Donates VIMAX Progressive Lenses to UPC Program for Low-Income Individuals

For over a decade, Grupo Prats has collaborated with the Faculty of Optics and Optometry at Terrassa (FOOT) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Through the "Mirades Solidàries" service-learning program, the company provides annual donations of high-end VIMAX progressive lenses to individuals referred by Social Services who face financial barriers to purchasing eyewear. The initiative operates at the University Vision Center in Terrassa, where optometry students gain clinical experience while addressing unmet visual needs among vulnerable populations. This partnership aims to ensure that economic status does not limit access to advanced optical solutions, simultaneously supporting student training in real-world social contexts.
