CooperVision Opens New Global R&D Hub in Southampton with Six Product Advancements Announced

CooperVision has opened a 9,940m² global innovation and research and development (R&D) hub in Southampton, UK, at Adanac Park. The facility, developed over two years, will house 350 employees across R&D, technology innovations, and commercial teams, featuring a state-of-the-art clinical facility for eyecare professional education. During the opening ceremony attended by Cooper Companies CEO Al White and CooperVision President Jerry Warner, the company announced six accelerated product advancements. These include the world’s first complete family of one-day myopia control contact lenses, novel premium one-day silicone hydrogel (SiHy) technology, next-generation SiHy monthly lenses, differentiated entry-level one-day SiHy innovations, advanced one-day SiHy toric multifocal lenses, and a new toric one-day experience for astigmatic patients.
