Meta Rolls Out First Major OS Update for Ray-Ban Display Glasses

Meta is rolling out its first major operating system update for the $800 Ray-Ban Display smart glasses this month. The update introduces a new widgets system, two EMG-controlled minigames (GOAT and 2048), an Instagram Reels feed, a dedicated Calendar app, and live captions for phone calls. Additionally, a partnership with Spotify enables a 'Soundtrack Your World' feature where Meta AI selects music based on the user's visual environment. While the OS lacks an official public name, these features expand functionality beyond the initial launch capabilities. The international rollout remains paused as handwriting recognition begins in the United States.
