Megane Top launches nationwide eyewear inspection and disaster-preparedness case distribution

Starting September 1, 2026, Megane Top (operating as "Megane Ichiba") is conducting simultaneous eyewear inspections at all its stores across Japan. The initiative targets both glasses purchased from Megane Ichiba and those bought from other retailers. Inspections include checking and replacing parts, verifying screw looseness or deterioration, adjusting balance, and cleaning. To support disaster preparedness, the company is distributing "Disaster Prevention Glasses Cases" to store inspected glasses for emergency storage. This program, a continuation of last year's effort, aims to ensure users have functional vision aids during emergencies, particularly addressing issues like contact lens hygiene limitations or the need for reading glasses in shelters.
