Expo Ottica Sud 2026 concludes with growth despite weather impact

The eleventh edition of Expo Ottica Sud, a B2B trade show for optical and optometric professionals in Southern Italy, concluded successfully from October 10 to 12 at the SiciliaFiera center in Misterbianco. Organizers Eleventi reported that the 5,000-square-meter exhibition area hosted over 120 companies, marking a 5% increase compared to previous years. More than 1,800 specialized visitors attended, although adverse weather in Sicily during the event days limited foot traffic, as pre-registrations had exceeded 3,000. The opening ceremony featured Federottica vice president Michele Schirone and other industry figures. Looking ahead, organizers anticipate expanding the exhibition space for the 2027 edition and reintroducing scientific meetings to support retail dynamics and professional updates.
