Optic 2000 Announces Third Low Vision Awareness Week in France for October 2026

Optic 2000 has announced the third edition of its Low Vision Awareness Week, scheduled from October 3 to 10, 2026. The initiative offers free visual assessments and personalized support at 230 designated Points Expert Basse Vision (PEBV) locations across France. Participants can book appointments online or in-store to evaluate daily needs and test adaptive equipment such as electronic magnifiers and connected glasses. The PEBV label, established in 2009, requires specialized staff and dedicated spaces. Additionally, four CECOM centers in Paris, Lille, Besançon, and Nantes provide deeper medical-social evaluations with orthoptists. This campaign addresses low vision affecting nearly two million people in France, a figure projected to double by 2050.
