Meta documents 720x1280 ceiling for glasses video, notes lower resolutions improve quality

Meta’s Wearables Device Access Toolkit documentation lists a maximum camera resolution of 720x1280 for its smart glasses. The company states that lower resolutions and frame rates yield higher visual quality due to reduced Bluetooth compression, with the default setting being 504x896 at 30 fps. Valid frame rates are restricted to 2, 7, 15, 24, or 30 FPS. Independent project MetaStream confirms the 720x1280 portrait ceiling and reports measured bitrates between 450 and 600 kbps at this resolution. While Meta attributes bandwidth constraints to Bluetooth Classic, MetaStream describes a direct Wi-Fi link via the DAT SDK. Third-party apps must register through the Meta AI app, and experimental toolkit features cannot yet be published in store-ready applications.
