VANNI Awards First #artistroom Prize to Catalin Pislaru, Plans 2022 Eyewear Launch

On November 5, 2021, in Torino, VANNI occhiali awarded the inaugural VANNI #artistroom Prize to Moldovan artist Catalin Pislaru. The prize, assigned by an international jury including Arthur Arbesser, Marco Sammicheli, and Marinella Senatore, recognizes artists under 35 offering original perspectives on reality. This initiative extends VANNI’s collaboration with Artissima, which began with a 2019 capsule collection curated by Cristian Chironi. Beyond a financial award, Pislaru will develop a limited-edition eyewear capsule collection. This collection is scheduled for launch in 2022 at the MIDO Eyewear Show in Milano and in Torino alongside Artissima. Additionally, jury chair Arthur Arbesser presented an installation at VANNI’s Torino showroom from November 6 to 21, 2021.
