Essilor and LFP Launch "Le Floot" Vision Awareness Campaign During Ligue 1 Matches
Essilor et la Ligue de Football Professionnel jouent la carte du flou pour sensibiliser à la santé visuelle
Essilor and the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) launched "Le Floot," a vision health awareness campaign timed with World Sight Day. Running from October 16 to 18, the initiative features blurred player names on jerseys during four Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches, including Lyon-Nice and Metz-Sochaux. The campaign includes stadium screen animations, commentator interventions on Ligue 1+ and beIN Sports, social media content, and partner optical store promotions. At the Lyon-Nice match, supporters could test their vision using a Monoyer scale. Prûne Marre, General Manager of Verres et Instruments at EssilorLuxottica France, emphasized early detection for children, noting that undetected myopia can hinder school learning and increase adult eye complication risks.
