Alla Ska Se initiative distributes 83,056 free activity glasses to Nordic children
83 000 aktivitetsglasögon har delats ut
Since its 2019 launch, the social initiative Alla Ska Se has distributed 83,056 pairs of free activity glasses to children aged 5–12 in the Nordics as of July 2026. The program is a collaboration between non-profit Generation Pep, retailer Synsam, and lens manufacturer Essilor. These prescription-grounded glasses are designed for sports and play to prevent vision-impaired children from avoiding physical activities due to fear of breaking their primary eyewear or cost barriers. Carolina Klüft of Generation Pep emphasized the link between activity and well-being, while Synsam CEO Håkan Lundstedt highlighted improved confidence. The initiative’s visibility increased during Arendalsuka in Norway, where Optikerbransjen, Synsam, and Norsk Toppfotball hosted a football match using simulated vision impairment glasses to demonstrate how uncorrected sight issues affect school and leisure participation.
